Bio
Chiche Trío brings together Sergio Verdinelli, Martín Sued and Juan Pablo di Leone, three fellow musicians with influences from different musical universes: contemporary tango, jazz, rock, and folklore. A new instrumental music from Buenos Aires arises from their meeting, where experimentation and improvisation are spaces for the search for their own sound. The group presents their first album, winner of the National Fund for Jazz Arts and contemporary music award.
MARTIN SUED: He is an Argentine bandoneon player and composer. He has two albums released with his group Tatadios, “Crecida” and “Panal” and he is working on the production of the third and one with the Sued-Nikitoff Duo, winner of the 2014 National Arts Fund award. He made several tours of Europe , USA, Brazil and Uruguay with their projects, and collaborated in concerts and recordings with artists such as Liliana Herrero, Diego Schissi, Yamandú Costa and Adrián Iaies, among others.
JUAN PABLO DI LEONE: He plays flutes, harmonica, piano and sings. For 12 years he was part of the group from Chango Farías Gómez. He is frequently invited to shows and recordings by artists such as Rubén Rada, Aca Seca, Carlos Aguirre, Juan Quintero, Luna Monti, Nicolás Ibarburu, Julieta Rada, Hernán Jacinto and Francisco Fattoruso, among others. He has a solo album, "Sin Palo", where musicians from Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil participate.
SERGIO VERDINELLI: He is one of the most outstanding drummers on the Argentine jazz and rock scene. He released “Sicomoro”, a solo album of his own compositions. He participates in several projects with musicians such as Mono Fontana, Ernesto Jodos, Rodrigo Domínguez, Ramiro Flores, Guillermo Klein, Matías Méndez. Within Argentine rock, he is currently drummer in the Andrés Calamaro group, played in Ilya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, and joined the bands of Fito Páez and Luis Alberto Spinetta.
