Bio

He was born in Buenos Aires in 1983.

He studied double bass with Hernán Merlo, Javier Dragún and Juan Pablo Navarro, electric bass with Willy González, composition with Juan «Pollo» Raffo, audioperceptive with Ezequiel Finger and ensemble with Carlos Lastra, Pepi Taveira and Enrique Norris. He also took classes with American musicians John Lockwood and Mark Helias in Boston and New York respectively. After two academic experiences at the School of Contemporary Music and at the UCA Faculty of Music, he was accepted in 2006 to become part of the first litter of the jazz career at the "Manuel de Falla" Conservatory, directed by the pianist Ernesto Jodos. In 2009 he received a scholarship to attend the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music in Alberta, Canada, directed by Dave Douglas. During the last years, he has played and / or recorded with many of the most recognized jazz musicians in Argentina, among them are Paula Shocron , Eleonora Eubel, Ernesto Jodos, Eloy Michelini, Adrián Iaies, Francisco Rivero, Ricardo Cavalli, Guillermo Romero , Esteban Sehinkman, Francisco Lo Vuolo, Pepi Taveira, Barbie Martínez, Roxana Amed, Valentín Reiners, Juan Pablo Arredondo, Mariano Loiácono, Carlos Lastra, Rodrigo Domínguez, Juan Cruz De Urquiza, Enrique Norris, Sergio Verdinelli, Oscar Giunta, Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla, Sergio Álvarez, Diego Lutteral, Carlos Michelini and Ernesto Snajer, among others. At the international level, he has accompanied Tommy Smith, Danny Grissett, Judy Niemack, Jakob Bro, Darmon Meader, Hank Roberts, Steve Cardenas, Ches Smith, Matt Aschenazy and Jean Francois Prins. Between 2005 and 2012 he co-led the electro-acoustic collective Elefante, with which they released two albums. As a session player (double bass and / or electric bass) he has participated in more than forty recordings, and in other popular genres he has shared the stage with Manuel Wirzt, Valeria Lynch, David Lebón, Cecilia Todd, Enrique Llopis, Daniel Viglietti, More Fernández Nuñez, Raul I washed and many others.

He is currently one of the most requested bassists on the Buenos Aires stages, and participates in numerous projects, among which the trio of Paula Shocron and the groups of Adrián Iaies stand out. Since 2008 he directs groups under his name, and has published two solo works: Trance (independent, 2011) and the EP Control (Kuai, 2013).
